Today was
the third day without wifi, and some of the test subjects were starting to show
serious signs of withdrawal. At around 5pm today, one subject began to have a
mind-bending hallucination that her iFruit phone was transforming into an
Anti-WiFi device. She even went as far as believing that even a rock that was
2000 meters high on a mountain could emit wifi.
Anyhow,
outside of the lab, we started off the day by waking up early and packing our
bags to leave the camp house in Luzern that we spent two nights in. We departed
to Interlaken by train to. celebrate Switzerland’s birthday by the lakeside. On
the way to the lake, we stopped in the city center of Interlaken to watch the
one hour First of August procession which included cows, horseback riders, and
people in knight’s armor. The weather was sunny and hot for the entire
procession, and we couldn’t wait to go swimming. Unfortunately, as soon as the
procession ended, it got cloudy and cool. A few of us still went to the lake to
go swimming, but the water was ice cold. Rias, who is badass, jumped in several
times and stayed in the water for a while. After our ice bath, we made a fire
to grill sausages, bread, and vegetables by the lakeside for our first of
August dinner. The sausage grilled over the fire was very juicy and flavorful.
After our amazing dinner, we all went into town to watch the fireworks show
between two large mountains, just like IMAX. [Observation of test subjects will
resume at 05:00]
