New Year's Camp Lantsch, 31.12.2011

Today is New Years Eve and we are having a party. We went skiing /snowboarding for a short while, the weather was bad again and the cold basically punched us in the face. We got home, had our showers, got dressed (in our fancy stuff) and went for dinner. We had a 7 course menu which included: guacamole on toast, an egg salad, a soup, a fish dish, lemon sorbet, a pork roast and finally chocolate mousse, washed down with the finest Coop sparkling water. We also nominated our Prom King and Queen for the evening. Afterwards we went outside to a massive bonfire which collapsed because someone pushed it so we had a bundle of burning wood instead. Then, fireworks lit up the sky. The vibrant colours of blue, red and green danced through the air as we all watched in amazement, while blinding sparkles and flares disappeared from sight in a matter of seconds. We had a crazy time. Everyone had a good time. The disco was a little awkward because nobody was dancing. But then John started to dance and it wasn’t awkward anymore. Most of us were at the fire. We had a brilliant chat. We started talking about maths problems and also we talked about octopi. Our friend kept talking about Amsterdam and how he wanted to build windmills there. But after an amazing day, sadly, we had to go to bed. We went to bed tired but happy..... But waking up wouldn’t be easy!!!!!
