Today was our third day at Swiss
Winter Camp. (Our second skiing/snowboarding day)
When we
woke up this morning, we were greeted with snow.
There was a
blizzard when we finally got to the top of the slope. The wind was so strong
that it pushed us all the wrong way! We were freezing when we reached the
top...
The slopes
were covered in lovely powdery snow, but we could barely see through our
goggles, so we kept on crashing into each other. By the time it stopped
snowing, the wind was so strong that it whipped all this lovely powdery snow
into our faces.
When it was
sunny, we decided to go up the slope using the T-bar. We were almost there when
it stopped. We thought that someone must have fallen off at the bottom but as
time went by we thought someone must have broken their leg! About 10 minutes
later a worker on a snowmobile came by to tell us that the lift broke down, so
we got off and had the whole slope to ourselves.
At the end
of the day, as usual, we got the bus home. We made it to the station and got
the other bus. But the driver wouldn’t shut up and drive!!! There was also a
fair amount of people who missed the bus altogether and decided, instead of
waiting an hour, to walk home...
For dinner
we had rainbow risotto and disgusting tea. It was lovely. Our evening project: going on a torch
trek; playing soccer; build an ice lounge or organise the New Year’s Eve party.
We buried Jasmin in the snow because we got bored of building blocks of snow...
